I have a problem that I would like resolved. My wife wants to play Nation States. Yeah, ok.... but that's not the problem!!
The problem is that although we have different computers (in different rooms) we have a broadband system which means although we have different email addresses - there is a similarity. How do we address this problem. I enjoy playing the game and the last thing I want is for someone to accuse me of cheating. Any suggestions (other than asking her not to play!!)

There's no way to prove if you and your wife are different people on separate computers.

Hang on, first of all, you can have as many nations as you want, as long as you only have one in the UN.
Assuming the issue here is that you both want a nation in the UN, I think you're safe on two different computers (I spent two weeks during spring break on the same LAN as my brother, and neither of us got kicked out). Salusa did say once that the basic problem comes from two nations on the same computer.

That's what I addressed.

Uhhhhm I wasn't asking you to defend your post, Tuesday. I was just expanding on it, sheesh.
And, the reason I'm posting again, I found the link where Sal was talking about LANs: http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=2535157&highlight=#2535157

argh, I didnt see this post. Okay, from my other post in the other thread by accident, I said basically what they've said - as long as the two of you only have no more than one nation in the UN, it should be safe.
Of course, like Unfree said, you *could* try, if you wanted to [I am NOT responsible for anything that happens if you do go ahead and do this, assuming you are talking about more than 1 UN nation], I would think you should be safe as long as its not from the same computer.
I have had another look at things and apart from a small minor change (because of the broadband and the network) there is not as much difference in the email addresses as I thought there was. That being so it could create a problem and, as you suggested, very difficult to prove that it was two different machines operated by two different people. Yes she did want to be a member of the UN, but I think she mught be just satisfied with being a non-UN member to avoid any problems that might occur because of the email similarities.
Thank you for your response.
