At the risk of flogging a dead horse, walking on old ground, and re-opening an old argument, I feel the time is ripe for a new forum.

In this tentatively titled 'CE Forum'(CE standing for Current Events), the news of the day could be debated in a calm, rational manner. Since we are moving to new boards soon, this is an excellent time to place this in action.

The general forum could then be re-labelled "OOC RP", or "The Volcano", or some other name that disguises the chaos within. Personally, I'm leaning towards: "Server Killers: The Forum".

I understand that some of you may be opposed to this. But it would make it easier to moderate, and also easier for debates to get started, and maintain seriousness.

What do you think?

Id say no too it. We might be moving to a better server but it may not be as good as we all suspect it will be, especially if we all hop on it at once and bring down the whole JOLT server. And besides, part of the fun of the general forum is that you can go straight from the mod pyramid to the 'I HATE BUSCH" thread easily.

I think a current events forum is unnessary, and will produce more of a strain on the server.

Moving to a new server does not promise 100% uptime.

I work for a hosting company, and we cannot promise 100% uptime.

You need to think to yourself, is this really neccesary? Do I need it?

For those users who can't pay the fee or don't want to pay the free for NS II, NS I will still be available to play with old nations and such.

Roania, I like the idea of a current events section of the forums.

I think a current events forum is unnessary, and will produce more of a strain on the server.Extra forums are just a little bit more code. Its just a new location for threads, it wouldn't create more of them.

Wait until after the move to decide if we need additional forums.
