Is there a NS-sponsored site that allows you to upload home-made pics (hand-drawn, paint images, etc.) for use on NS? I have a hard time finding compareable pictures on the internet.
Not an NS sponsered one I think, but there are lots of free site where you can upload images and link to them from the forum. Just do a search for free image hosting or something. Unless I misunderstood the question.
