Okay,so maybe I'm just a dumb newb and maybe this was already brought up a while ago and subsequently shot down but I gotta ask. Why isn't there a feature that let's us write our own national anthems?

Because that would probably require too much time, effort and money. Remember this is a free game....however, if you play NS2 then you'll most likely be able to do that. :D

Besides, theres nothing stopping you from roleplaying that you have a national anthem, it works for me. Just pick a peice/song that you like or think represents your country well, and say its yours. And anyway, I doubt the vast majority of NS players are musically inclined, so just imagine all the crappy anthems wed end up with. Like Chinas.
