:idea: It could be placed along with civil rights, economy and political rights. The scale may vary from outlawed to corrupted (the same scale as political rights).
:!: Many factors can influence the level of judicial rights. Is the nation under the rule of law or is summary justice the norm? Are defendants presumed innocent until proven guilty or is it the other way round? Does the defendant have access to lawyers? Do trials consist of unbiased juries? Does the principle of habeas corpus (person must be brought before a court or judge) apply? Are the three powers (executive, judicial and legislative) separate or not? Does the principle of double-jeopardy (cannot be charged with same offence more than once) apply?
