Some Kind of Altruism

How do I change my belief structure to where I will start to have a thriving economy? Or at least a legitimate one, I'm not getting any issues that obviously aid this.
(FYI, this kind of thing should be in "Got Issues?")
Things that usually help economy:
Giving companies more freedom (ie they can fire employees, no minimum wage, ect)
Things that hurt the environment (Economy vs. Environment is an almost guaranteed tradeoff in NS ... I've managed to have both before, though my economy is kinda slumping right now)
Go against unions
Subsidies
Government Spending in general
