Regional Control

I am curious as to why I cannot leave my region (as the Founder) and keep the UN Delegate from getting into the Regional Control while I am gone?

I no longer wish to be in this region, but none of its countries want a password or UN Delegate access to the Regional Control. My only choice is to stay in the region, which I do not want to do! I am wondering if this could be fixed.

The region that needs the UN Delegate access taken off (even when I leave the region) is Marxism.

This is actually intended to function this way.

It used to be that delegate access remained off even after the founder died. This caused problems as quite a few regions ended up without any ability to alter the World Factbook Entry or perform other basic tasks (basically, the same situation your region members actually wish to have ;) ). A solution was then implemented which would leave regional access open to the delegate when the founder wasn't in the region (either by being dead or by having abandoned the region and moving elsewhere).

One solution to the problem is to recreate (or start a new) the region with a different Founder. One possibility I've seen working for some regions is a generic non-UN nation as Founder of which a few of the core members of the region have the password.

But there is nothing that I can do now?! Argh, why couldn't they just make it so if the Regional Founder died than the UN Delegate could have access?! Argh!

It may have been easier to do it the other way. Considering if the founder leaves the region or dies then he won't exist in the region. I believe it is alright the way it is. What is wrong with the delegate having control? I mean, if there is an invasion, you can go back in and kick out the invaders since you are the founder, I believe.

Um... you can leave a region and still have delegate access blocked. I have founded several regions where I don't reside, and delegate access is definitely still blocked.

I suggest you check on those regions...

* checks and doesn't find a single region where Unfree People is the founder... Hmmm *
