http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi/target=region_control/region=[region]

Just replace "[region]" with the region using the "_" or "%20" for spaces like with the XML feed.

There was one the other day that led to an actual region's control page... I don't have the link nor do I know if you could actually make changes. This could be an interesting glitch, however, illegal the tactics may be if ruled upon.

You can't change, just look at it.

And I always get a whole bunch of garbage at the top when I look at pages for region I can't change.

Thanks.

Yeah, I went to the link above, and it wouldn't let me view any other regions or such. Oh well. :)

Ok, now my second question

If Regional controls for the delegate are NOT enabled, does that mean the delegate can do nothing in the regional control page (change the World Factbook, password, ban, unban) or are there some actions which are still enabled?

(Any speculation as to what I'm planning will be unequovically denied)

The delegate in this case is denied all access. He cant do nada.

By the evidence of some of your posts in tech and mod recently, I'd suggest that theirs no need for speculation.

That doesn't happen with Firebird.

I just tested it with IE and it does.

That's what you get for using a Web Browser made by the same company that makes Windows Nal.

I this page likely to stick around, or will it be removed for security reasons? It's just I can extract a list of banned nations from it for my NSDemographics program.

I'm not sure if Firebird is doing the correction thing here (have you tried it with a newer version of Firebird/Firefox?). The code that leads to garbage display starts:

<input type="hidden" name="chk" value="[Error evaluating "$nation->hash_pin()...

Shouldn't that be parsed as <input type="hidden" name="chk" value="[Error evaluating" $nation-="$nation-"> followed by the junk as CData?

Its been around since I began playing so presumably its staying. Its not really a security issue anyway, nothing can be changed and the only things of use it lets you see is the ban list and if the delegate has access to the CP.

And no, I haven't. I have one of the most recent versions of Firebird, but I don't like the name "Firefox", so I'm waiting until they change the name again to download the new one.

Quite you :P

I use my mod on Phoebos' browser (and it so happens it's really easy to implement an IE window into a VB app).

Next time I start from scratch (reformat/reinstall windows) I'll probably get a mozilla browser at least for standard browsing...

I'm saying its bad to not follow the standards (which was one of the main aims of the Mozilla project). Just 'cause we know that mess is generated by a server-side problem, it doesn't mean the browser does (or even can, given the current level of AI...).

And no, I haven't. I have one of the most recent versions of Firebird, but I don't like the name "Firefox", so I'm waiting until they change the name again to download the new one.

They changed it from Firebird because of the firebird database, but no other project has the name Firefox, so they'll probably stick with this one. The name does seem better given time (I didn't like it to start with, but the logo is rather cool...).

I don't see corrupted pages in either Mozilla or IE.

However, if you Aren't logged in, then yes, there is mess on the page. It's something we need to deal with, but itsn't high priority.
