Improvement Idea: Reasons for Ejection
Goobergunchia

First of all, I know that all game improvements are temporarily on hold. So I'm just dropping this in the pipeline, as it were.
On IRC, when somebody is kicked from the channel, the kicker has the ability to specify a reason why they are kicked. It looks like this:
CrystalBot was kicked from #ns_mod_wannabes by Goobergunch (Boing?)
My suggestion that on the Regional Control page, there be a field following "Eject a nation" with a check box that says "specify a reason" and a text field that can be filled in with the reason for ejection.
On the Regional Happenings, it would look like this:
Seconds ago: The Liberal Unitary Republic of Goobergunchia ejected the United States of AmericanDream from the region (Regional Rule 4 - This is a Liberal Region.)
If the box remained unchecked, it would appear as it currently does.

Ooooh. Nifty feature, ejecting with style! ;)

It's been added to my list of features to consider.

Its a pity but I can see this being abused. Especially by newe nations who would flame in the "boot messages".
Maybe a drop down box cotaining various reasons? It would have to be pretty comprehensive though.
On top of that, maybe only allow the text box method for nations Obviously I mean delegates/founders above a certain age here who are pretty old. After all were trusted to behave with the custom titles.

Siswai Aman has a point. Nations may be displeased with the options, and Sal will probably get hundreds of requests to add options. But Siswai Aman's other point (that of a +500 pop trigger) is good. I think, to avoid flame and "well you didn't say I coudln't say it" the boot message (if enabled) should have the same limitations as Nation names and mottos.

Yes, it has the potential to be abused, but so does the eject function in its current state. Consequences will be dealt out for abuses, for flaming and griefing

I believe Sal could answer this question I have; wouldn't that type of coding take up a lot of space?

What about puppet nations who become founders/delegates whose primary nations have been here over that mark? Should they be punished by this rule?
Besides, rumor has it when we move to the new server all nations will only have their names. They will have to rebuild their populations and such, which means they won't have access to this feature for a good 4-6 months which would severly limit invasions, which have become an important part of the game.

True, but it would reduce the likelihood. It could only be abused in the way that already exists. Using a text box allows a whole new way to abuse the system.

Probably, I have very little knowledge of this.
out puppet nations who become founders/delegates whose primary nations have been here over that mark? Should they be punished by this rule?
This, I dont know. You could just found the region with your over the mark nation.

That I didnt realise. Damn, I dont like the idea of building from the gorund up!
How would this impact on invasions though?

This rumor is FALSE! The game will get a bit of a new look, but for the most part, the changes should be transparent.

Why should a player be confined to founding/delegating a region with his primary nation? That's not quite fair, now is it?

Sal, is that the final word, because Neut posted this in the NS II forum:

Is Neut referring to something else or is my question referring to something else?

Ah, I see where my logic went faulty. Thanks, Sal!
