Is it possible to leave the UN once you join it?
Yes. All you havge to fdo is click the resighn button and ytour out.

You can leave the UN as mentioned above, but you must wait 24 hours before rejoining with a new nation to be assured of it not being picked up on a cheat scan.
When I first switched UN nations it was funny reading what it said afterwards, as that was exactly why I left. ("You have informed the UN that you will no longer participate in its shallow, hollow debates" or somewhat to that effect).
