A couple of things. Deletions and code.

1) When a nation is deleted as opposed to just dying off, is it still only marked dead, and is there any kind of a block on it being ever resurected again? I know there is some type of system to add little notes to an account so the mods can keep track of what the nation has been up to, but is there a permanent way to stop a nation ever being resurected?

2) Any chance of getting code activated on telegrams and the regional messagers? Not all of them, certainly not [img], but [b], [i], [url] and [u] would be helpful. Is the function there and simply turned off, or would it have to be coded? I know about the no-more-modifications-of-the-code ploicy, but if the function is there . . . .

Thanks, SA

Of course, this is just as I undertand things...

1) Since the nations are stored somewhere, one of the admins (probably violet) could go in and delete the data personally from the NS server. Other then that, I don't think there is a way (I certainly haven't heard of one).

2) The code is something phpBB interprets into html when the post is displayed. I don't think that the NS code has any features like this, but they could allow html in the WFBs, TMs, and HQ (or maybe a limited amount of html, but I don't know how possible this is ... web stuff = no good at :P).

My understanding as a mod (and one with the power to actually resurrect nations) is that the only way - at our level - that a nation can "never be resurrected" is if the mods simply never resurrect it. There are files extant on each nation, but whether or not they could actually be deleted without causing problems is a different matter.
Rest assured though (if this question was asked out of concern about a rulebreaker being resurrected), we're not in the business of allowing rulebreakers to have their nations back.

Naleth's answer may not necessarily have gone far enough. Basically, the forums and the "rest of the game" (factbooks, telegrams, regional message lodging places) are two separate entities, which explains why some peculiar things sometimes happen in the forums.
The idea of coding some tags for telegrams and so on sounds like a good one, though, and one which might be worth mentioning in discussion of NS2.

Yup, that sums it up pretty well. It falls under the catagory of things I want to get done, but are by no means critical.
