Question about pop bug symptoms

Unfortunatly, I have not been acurately watching my population, so I can't verify that, but today I got three of the same issues I had yesterday. I know the pop bug somehow affect issues, but I can't remember how. I think I also may have had a population jumo, from around 550 something up to 580 something, but I may be rememboring incorrectly...
I think the pop bug gives you 2X the number of issues you asked for,
ie -set to 1 per day you get two per day w/ the bug.
I think.

You got three issues? Or four issues, but three were the same?
Well, the game server randomly hands out issues, and there is a chance, albeit a small one, that you can recieve the same ones. The symptoms are -
1) Twice the amount of issues requested
2) Twice the amount of standard population jumps during issue legislation (When the issue goes into effect and alters your nation)
So, yes, you have the population bug. Thanks for notifying the game mods of it, as some people tend to use it to their advantage for unfair play.

I've received the same issues in back-to-back days, but never on the same day, and I ask for four issues per day. I suppose it is possible to get four of the same issues on the same day, but Sal or someone who knows would have to confirm this.
I know I've had two issues the same at once.
As for whether or not the thread creator has the pop bug - it's a possibility, but I wouldn't go jumping onto that particular bandwagon right now. I was under the impression that the worst excesses thereof had been corrected.

How many issues have you elected to receive per day?
How many are you getting?

Sal--I'm set to get two a day. I went to a MUN conference for three days in DC, so I was away from NS. Of course, I had five issues when I got back. Then, I was delayed again for several (the exact number escapes me, unfortunately) days, and had five issues again. This may have been five issues received in two days. Then, when I was able to check NS again, I had five issues, four of which I had received the last time I was on NS. I also noticed my population had risen noticabley [sp], as I hav recently risen above 500 million. I now have 600 million. This is an apparent increase of 100 million in a few days. I had jus over 500 million when I returned from DC (that would be Tuesday).
Two questions:
A) What is the usual rise of population per updated and
B) How often to issues get repeated?

Today I have two issues, +5 million people. Guess it's normal after all. Sorry  !
