Suggestion: Issue ticketer

Simply, when a nation submits an issue a telegram (or something) is automatically issued with a number in the issue queue, and a simple page with the current queue number for the issue being processed/ignored/laughed at, and the number of issues left in the queue.

Example:

"Max Barry and the Admins are now @@RANDOMVERB@@ at issue 12,455 of 98,450. If your issue was ticketed below 12,455 and you have not recieved a telegram then your issue was rejected"

So Nations can compare their issue queue numbers, to the process number, and easily tell that their issue has been ignored.

Hmm, very nice. I like it. The only problem is counting those that have already been submitted :P

Also, the mods do issues in batches (I think I read once that they were batches of 150, but that could be wrong). So it whould have to be "the mods are currently laughing at issues 1423-1573 out of 8402 submitted issues."

I really like this idea (I have 3 issues in the queue somewhere), but it's been proposed before and not implemented.

Pick an arbitrary starting number. 5, 1,000, or 20,000,000. Thats how many there were, gosh those Admins were legendary. :)

As for the 'batch' problem, the process number need only be the last one _done_ not the ones being worked on right now. Most of it could be automagical.

The other advantage is that it would let Nations see the load on the issue processing team, and take some _more_ time writing up new issues before submitting them...

If it made even only some people spend longer writing them it might result in better written ones, taking some of the editing burden away aswell.

oh and automagical?

oh and automagical?

Ah, its local idiom for "make something possibly horribly complicated work automatically and the details aren't important"

Well, Sal, any thoughts on this one?
