An idea.

Sorry about the title, I couldnt think of a snazzy one liner to describe my idea. Youre here now though and thats what counts, right?

This "came" to me (pooibly through Nur) while reading the thread somehwere about the recruitment spam in the Pacific.
Someone (come forward if you want the credit) suggested somehow letting the new nations know the rules re recruiting.

My idea is, would it be possible to have messages auto sent by that admin account that sends you your introductor tg?

Say, on the second day, it would send a note about UN status, the next day something else, you get the idea.

Inevitably, people are going to say, "but noobs should just read the FAQ!", well, my point is they dont. I didnt until about my second week, because FAQs are generally boring. So many of the questions asked in any of these forums can be easily answered by a quick read of the FAQ but its not going to happen. We need a new way to force feed new nations the rules.

Ooh, this is an interesting idea, and I kinda like it. I'll put it on my list of things to consider after the feature freeze.

You mean like FAQ telegrams? That would probably save a lot of trouble, but you know, some people still wouldn't read them.

It would be fun. I could get a puppet box chock full of admin telegrams.

Yeah, puppet boxes getting full would be my only problem but having an off button would defeat the purpose I guess.

Not everyone would read them, true, but noobs are more likely to read the information if they get it via telegram than if they have to go look at the FAQ. As long as it is in bite size chunks the result should be less hassle for everyone, including the new players themselves.

Thanks Sal! Glad you like it.
