Is a Mod mad at me? Cause a lot of threads just disappear

For a long time (pretty much since I started NS) certain threads of mine stop showing up on the forum display pages. Even searching for them didn't reveal them. However, if I ever clicked on on a direct link (perhaps if I bookmarked it, or had posted a link in some other thread) to them the threads would start showing up again. They would again show up in the forum display pages, and searches would reveal them with ease.

Unfortunately, the problem seems to have evolved. Now, when certain threads disappear, nothing will reveal them. Before it used to be that clicking on a link would seem to fix the problem. Now even that doesn't work. I have bookmarked the thread, and have had the link sent to me by other people who it does not disappear for, and it still doesn't appear. Whenever I open a link to the thread it gives me "the post or topic you have selected does not exist."

Is a mod mad at me and spiting me for something (I hope to God this isn't the case) or am I jusst getting the server problems worse than anyone else?

This sounds like a server error to me...

Can you provide a few links to threads are no longer visible to you?

This is the latest thread to go poof

This is also the "evolved" version of whatever the hell is happening. Before, the threads would re-appear if I ever clicked on a direct link. Now, even when I click on a link the thread doesn't show up. I just get that "the topic you have requested does not exist" message.

I've seen several threads, including three stickies temporaril vanish, and Enodia's "All about Mods" sticky never did reappear. . .

I think has been happenning a long time, and happened to me often when I joined NS... It may be an old bug rearing its ugly head again. I just saved the URL to all my threads in notepad, and *bumped* them when they disappeared. It seemed to work.

Well are they gone from your "View Your Posts" page as well. Is that what you mean?

In the older times when this happened the posts would still show up in the "view all posts" page, but for this latest one they don't.

It's almost as if the thread completely disappeared.

I can see the link you posted. Are you sure it just isn't that the last page of a particular thread isn't showing up? There is a bug in which the last page isn't the real last page of the thread but rather the page after the true last page so if you click on it you get the 'does not exist' error.

I think the forum may just get hungry

I've experienced the same bug before. I created the NationStates Super Thread back in December 8th. It vanished for a few hours before I accessed it by bookmark. It then vanished for over a month. January 25th is when I accessed it again and people started replying to it.
