The region of MOCKBA has a factbook that is in bold, is this a privelege for the oldest living nation or something? :)

For some time it was possible to put HTML tags in the World Factbook Entry. For instance, I've also seen one with a picture in it.
Due to security concerns, HTML has been disabled in World Factbook Entries, which includes no longer being able to put text in bold.

Ballotonia is correct. HTML is not permitted in the regional factbook entries. The bug has since been fixed.

Then why is it still there?

Because we haven't cleaned it out yet. Nothing new can be done.
Also, if they try and edit the factbook, it will disappear. Only used to work when the HTML was put in on the region creation form.

I wish we had a ability to put a hyper link into the factbook so that regional offsite forum or website can be up there and clickable, perhaps make it a founder controlled feature, (can allow or disallow delegate to post it) and for the pacifics moderators preview it and if it is OK, then it is ok, if it goes to somethign bad, they can delete it.

I'm kicking around various ideas regarding a BBCode varient for the factbooks, but don't get get your hopes up.

How about just another form box in the Regional Control Panel? I realize some regions don't use it and others have 5 or 6 URLs, but one block would be a decent compromise between many and none.

Neat idea. I'll keep it in mind (though, as always, won't promise anything)

I'm almost 2 billion, so I'm down with that ;)
I also reeeally want at least BBcode in WFEs.
Just my useless $0.02 here...
Limit the BBCode to URLs, bold and italic texts.
I really don't want to see regions with goatse in their WFEs. :x

I discovered that when you make a region, you can add HTML and it would stay as long as you don't edit the factbook again. I had pictures and everything.
Then Sal fixed it so you can't do it anymore, but for the regions that mods haven't seen, the html stays there.
