THis seems to be three questions.

If I understand what you are saying, you tried to copy and paste an image, and got an invalid session. You thus wish to know how to post images correct?

Were you trying to copy the image, or the image url? The image will not copy directly.

You post an image by putting the url between the tags.

You can surround it with other think such as links, for example:

[code:1:175f775bd1][/code:1:175f775bd1]
becomes http://www.nationstates.net/images/smalllogo.jpg

[code:1:175f775bd1] [/code:1:175f775bd1]
becomes: http://www.nationstates.net/images/smalllogo.jpg (http://www.nationstates.net/images/smalllogo.jpg)

Invlid seesion is fixed by hitting the back button, retreiving your post if possible, going back once more, and reclicking "reply" "new topic" or "quote" agian, and repasting/retyping.

It seems to usually happen if you have a reply window open for a long time.

I don't know what causes it though, you'll have to wget a reponser Sal, Peng, Pheobos.. RepidDr3am, or some other expert on coding.

What Qaaol forgot to mention is that your pictures already have to be on the web. This board doesn't support uploading images, or pasting actual images in the post.

Your best bet on the invalid session problem is to compose your replies offline in a handy word processor or notepad. That way, if your session times out and you have to logon again, you'll be able to recover your text.

Also, word processors have spellcheckers. An extremely handy tool, IMHO.
