Not an actual UN proposal as it affects game mehanics, but a proposal nonetheless. And I apologize if this has already been proposed; I'd check other pages in this forum but I keep getting screwed over by my connection. So I just want to get this posted and done with it. Hopefully you understand.
I've been trying to research other nations I may want to invite into the region. Problem is, I have over 10,000 pages to look through, arranged either by the category of the day or alphabetically. And 10 at a time. It's very slow going, and I might be missing tons of nations I want to look at.
Solution: Make it easier to search nations. The methods I propose should be fairly easy to implement-- nothing like "Sort by theme", which would be a logistical nightmare. Rather, I base my suggestions on things already in place:
*Sort by population-- the bigger the population, the better the country's run and the longer it's been around, because who wants to live in a poorly-run nation? (This may also be done for other major categories the UN keeps track of, which you could simply make permanent rather than rotating. Categories such as safest places to live or largest GNP/GDP, or largest military budgets.)
*Sort by type of nation-- the main already-established categories, such as Psychotic Dictatorship or Father Knows Best State or new York Times Democracy, etc.
*Allow people to choose how many nations they want to see on one page-- 10, 20, 50, 100, whatever, with the understanding that bigger pages take longer to load.
Thank you for your consideration.
