Founders powers!

I would like to propose that region founders are to be given a new power. To delete messages on their message boards! I have got very frustrated at nations advertising their regions on my message board! So - why not allow the founder to delete messages?

Or the delegate.

Not the delegate. It would give invaders and certain oppressive dictator-delegates the means to censor things, which would only lead to more problems.

Do we even want censorship? I guess if a spammer came in and flooded the message board that would be advantageous to have. But for regional recruitment messages? Every nation has a right to advertise about a region, so long as they don't spam in any way.

I think this is a good idea, but it needs limits in what it can and can't do.

Another good thing might be if the poster can delete his message as long as it wasn't responded to.

I think only the Founder should be able to delete recruitment messages. Europe is constantly plagued by advertisements and I and my co-founder are helpless to do anything.
The mods can delete messages off of the regional boards, and I think Founders should be granted the same right.

Seems like a good idea but it could have problems like a founder could torture his region and censore it from things he didn't want members to hear publicly

It's the Founder's region... the Founder can do whatever he wants with it.

Perhaps if, when the founder deletes a message there would be some sort of "Nation of so-and-so's message deleted" marker left in its place. That way the founder can continue to do whatever it wants but the subordinate nations would still know there was possible censorship going on, and question the founder.

Individual nations always have the right to leave a region they don't like, right?

Within reason....but what about feeder region on regions without founders??? Then Franco or Posky can delete Crazy Girls posts and she would be out of a job...,

It could mean invaders with a region without a founder could censor it and also what happens if you delete every message on the board do you get the old messages back? :?: :?:
