Is tehre a way to let us make alliances without being in the same region...some option? If there isn't, would it be too terribly complicated to script? You know, an option that lets people forge an alliance or something... have embassies...

That would be helpful, but they've already said, that they are not likely to make any changes in the source code.

My RP nations are involved in alliances outside of a region. It's all RP.

Yes, you have to role-play alliances, there is no in-game alliance feature.
Reole play to a degree, yes. Though alliances are also very handy when it comes to defending from invasions, getting UN proposals passed, and other Real World things such as that...
