should we get rid of NS and II or should we get rid of General.

These slow the loading so slow :?

NS and II fulfil two quite different purposes, and have their own cultures. General serves a useful social function and acts as a magnet for those things which would otherwise be scattered throughout the other forums. So the answer has to be no.

The forums do serve a purpose for everyone who plays the game. It would be nice to have a better server though. 8)

1. I've already suggested a PayPal account to accept donations. This was rejected because they wouldn't use the money unless they were *sure* they could use it to improve forum performance.

2. This server is an awesome server, but it's hosting things it's not supposed to be hosting. Making a server do what it's not supposed to do doesn't fare well for it.

3. Buying more servers- This server costs $400 a month to run. This isn't cheap.

So we sit and wait. Or press Max to open a PayPal account. Which ever works.

You're forgetting that this site has a playerbase of probably about 50,000 people... That's an awful lot of bandwidth costs.
Not to mention all the server extras like RAID and a UPS.

Whatever, my point is it's expensive.
