"Retail" forum ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY.

Checking II randomly, I find that there are 7 storefront threads. Several of the remaining are roleplays, and there are mony roleplays on other pages that would be up top.
Several people have suggested a "Retail Forum". It is needed NOW.
What do you mean by Retail. . . .Advertising? for what?

Storefronts. Pseudo-RolePlay threads where people sell stuff.
Not really worth it. For 7 storefronts? I can see 15-20, but 7? :|

7 on one page. There are often more. With storefronts and stickies, there's little room left.
but, may I ask? WHY?
Exactly, There is no reall need for this, there have been much better reasons to create new forums which have not been implemented why this one?
This is part of RPing anyway, it is not a completely new subject, storefronts, truly do belong wherever RPing is :D
Y-know, in General Forum we sometimes have lots of threads on the same topic.
We find that, if you ignore all but one, you get one thread with the topic on, and the others sink to the bottom.
Quick math:
21 threads on the first page
1 Announcment
3 Stickies
7 Storefronts
21-7-3-1 = 10 Regular RP threads
Seems to me they still have a plurality, and almost a majority, among the different types of threads there.

Let me get this straight.
You have two forums just for RP and the concept of it, and you want another one? :o
Gameplayers did fine without a forum until about a week ago (and now I do not see how we did), and you guys can not make it through with 2 forums for RP? :?
As Spoffin mentioned, General deals with massive numbers of redundant threads. And the Generalites make it throguh fine with just one forum.
The UN also is chock full o' redundant threads, and Technical and Moderation have their share.
Most of the storefronts that I see sink with nary a respose to them, and from what I've heard, they are going obsolete anywhen.
Why can you not use NS for Concept of RP and Storefronts, and II for wars, and other such International Incidents? :?
Just to be a stickler, but as a far greater amount of international relations are concerned with trade than with war, isn't a high balance of trade threads to war threads to be expected

But these are not belonging in II! II is for "trade" as in, negiotating trade and stuff. While actually RP'ing! Storefronts go in NS. Or a new froum. But NOT II!

International Incidents
A staging-point for declarations of war, international trade, and other major diplomatic events. [In-character; role-playing etiquette enforced]

I know. But II is for roleplaying trade. Properly. With actual roleplay. NS is for less formal RP. Like storefronts.

Then start a thread in Moderation to get the storefronts moved to NS.

No. NationStates has much better RP. Quarantine those damn storefronts in II. Don't buy.
Keep this (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=104971) thread alive.
I'm gonna have to agree. The need is pressing. Other forums can whine and snivel about this, but they don't have the need for the differentiation. Yes General I'm talking to you! You don't need more than one, your general, which means general! Same to you Game Play.
Those store front threads always are filling up space, and then of course the various "I want to buy _______" appears. If we had a forum for storefronts, and requests from people...that would be a helluva help for allowing posts to remain in the public eye.

Look what you started Quaalchoura.
To throw my peice in the pot, I thought the intent was to have a semi-ic forum (NS) and to have a strictly-ic one (II). If thats the case, just post your quality rp in II, and bluntly suggest that store fronts be moved to NS, and that no further 'fronts get opened in II. Or Vice versa if you would prefer to keep NS clean. When either of the admins gt back it should be a simple thing to switch the tags. Nothings going to happen overnight though, look how long it took Quaal to get gameplay set up . . . . . .

And I asked politely, the existing forum for such had been hijacked, was ploite the whole time, and there was no real arguement against it.
Here you demanded, have two forums already (more than for any other purpose, all of the others only have one each), were a tad on the impolite side, and there are some logical arguements against it (albeit, primarily for the reasons mentioned above).

I'm undecided on this for a two reasons.
1. Do we really need another forum on NS? And for so little topics? Unless we combined the forum to cover other things, this would be a bit of a waste.
2. We can do what SiswaiAman said, about moving all serious RP to II, and all other thread to NS. However, it may be easier to do it the other way around. The RPers seemed to claim NS for all serious and non-serious RP and leave II alone.
I think this would be a much better idea then making a whole new forum for it.

Saying "We deserve a third forum when everbody else only has one," and refusing to explain why, is not exactly the best tactic.

Qaal has a point here. Being a General Forum going person, I wasn't too enticed to help out when I saw the message about the General Forum. I was even a bit insulted.
Be careful with your comments.

I had a similar reaction with his comment about Gameplay in it's first week they tried to invade it with storefronts, recruitment, and concept of RP threads, and they had driven us out of NationStates, so seeing that sort of arrogance. . .
You may be hurting this idea more than helping it Trem.
