First of all, I have read the known problems list, and this is not the caching bug or the "dumped from region" bug. Here is what happened:
I outlawed voting in Vandalon by answering the "Should voting be mandatory?" issue with "I know what is best, it would be easiest if I just went ahead and made such decisions." The next day this issue passed and I was given a very similar one--corporations want political say. I made a similar decision on this issue also outlawing elections, which were already outlawed. This issue then went into formulation for two days, not passing and not giving me any new issues. Finally I dismissed it, and the next day I was given a new issue and now things seem back to normal.
During this time my nation showed up normally on the region list, and I did not make any endorsements of anyone (which means this is not the bug where you are ejected from your region by accident).
I don't know whether this bug happened because the second issue was trying to outlaw elections when they were already outlawed or whether this was a coincidence.
I am using Explorer 6 and Windows 98. My ISP is Time Warner RoadRunner.
