Tips on not posting multiple times...

I don't know if this has been posted before, but this seems to help me most of the time, not always, sometimes I know when there are going to be more then 1 post, by the way the page is loading
If the Page is not loading/you get a 404 error
Do not go back & click Submit again
Do not click Submit multiple times
Instead, if the page does not load/you get a 404 error,go back, copy+paste your message (if you do not want to re type it),
Go check see if your thread/post is there, because sometimes I have not had the page load & my message was posted ;)
this may solve some of the problems, I know it will not solve it all, because some are because the server :)
Also, if you get
No posts exist for this topic
your post went through, just look at the thread & it will be on the page before last (ie. if there are 3 pages, the post will be on page 2)

It's been posted pbefore, most of us who've been here a while know it.
It's just never been condensed into one post at the beggining of a thread.

I've had that "error" message come up when not posting, but just looking for the last post in a thread. It's rather as if the software creates a new page as soon as one fills up, but if doesn't put anything into it until the next post. Thus, there's a page with nothing on it. Click a link to that page, and the softare thinks the topic (not just the page) is empty.
Weird bug, but I doubt it'll ever be fixed. Indeed, I suspect it's a "feature" of the software, and can't be changed.

I was not sure if it has been before or not, what made me think of it, is I have seen non-spammers post 2-3 posts a lot, mainly recently :)
Edit- hehe some are unavoidable, I just had 2 post pop up but caught it before anyone posted ;)

Yah, the server is being a real politician.
Could a mod add this to Scolo's Sticky List until the server is fixed?
It might help out some newbies.
The "No Posts Exist For this Topic" can get up to 2 or 3 pages in advance for some of the longer threads. I think it has something to do with the server counting messages that are deleted as part of the thread (or otherwise screwing up when storing the length of the thread).

*gives thread a swift kick  *
60% of the times I post, I get a 500 Internal Server error. The trick is lengthly, if repetitive. Copy and paste entire post, except title. If error crops up, go back to the main page (once it loads), the make your way back to the topic. If it's been posted, no problem, if not, repeat until the damn interweb works.
Multiple posts are a good thing. They increase my post count

Actually they don't.
The server counts them as one post.
