Since there's a fair amount of call for referring to the Getting Help page, is there any way you could tag the phrase so that the forum automatically treats it like a link to the page? Not on all the forums, just Moderation. If you think that would cause confusion, maybe there's some kind of quick tag you could create to differentiate? Like, [gettinghelp] or *gettinghelp or something? Just an idea.

I dunno how phpbb works, so I dunno if this is even possible, but I thought I'd suggest it anyway.

Can I add my own tags?
No, I am afraid not directly in phpBB 2.0. We are looking at offering customisable BBCode tags for the next major version.
They can't, it seems. Saulsa & company might know a way around it.

Actually, this is possible, albeit a bit indirectly. PHPBB allows 'censored' words to be automatically converted into a settable option. As such, it would be possible to code, for example, ##Gamehelp## to convert to the link to the getting help page. Similar to the macros used in the game, really.

I quite like the idea, though have no idea how the PTB will feel about it. Seems quite a nice way of handling a lot of the common queries that arise in tech and moderation.

##techfaq## - self explanatory

And I'm sure I could think of a few more common links if I thought for a while
