I was at school this morning for a final, and checked my telegrams and the forums on NS. Being thesmart, oh-so-intelligent person I am, I forgot sign out when I was finished. Just a heads up in case some wacko stumbles upon this and decides to try something with my account.
If your school has a decent network admin, cookies would have been purged when you logged out of the computer.

yeah.. it is really annoying...the network admin at my school, blocks basically every game site as well as many other fun sites. if you happen to find one the second time you try to go into it , it is forbidden, as all internet activity is monitored
Either you have a small school or a crazy admin. And Fyrehart, I wouldn't be too worried since NS will automatically log you out after a rather short amount of time (I think it's 5 minutes but it might be more). It would take an unlikely coinicidence for your account to be stolen like that (and it probably hasn't been if you left it logged in a few hours ago).

If you changed your PW at home, would it still log someone else right in at school (that is if it is a cookie issue, and not an "automatic log-in" problem)?

Just a word of advice in general... and this is to all users... This doesn't just apply to NS, but to everything you do.
If you log in to anything that isn't on your home computer, ALWAYS restart the computer if entirely possible, that way, all your information is purged, because, chances are that because of the network admin's preference to have strict security settings, it'll cause all the cookies from your session to get dumped.
There is software, as well as people and little tricks that hackers have passed on, out there, that can and will, if you're not careful with logging out of a school or work network, or even just logging out, will fish and arvest usernames and passwords. There is a way to break thoe and hack accounts, as long as the computer hasn't been restarted... And of course it depends on what the admin do.

Ay my school to we have been banned because people messed up the school web page so i just don't go online at school, thats my advice.
