ehy, wouldnt it be cool if the game actually counted up everyone's population and displayed it as the total nationstates population? i think so.

I agree, but such a thing would just encoarge people to make puppets and boost their regions population. Maybe if the system only counted the popluation of a single IP for a single nation. For example-
658.245.99.3 has 2 nations, the highest population being 8 million. So it adds 8 million to the total region population, ignoring the other nation.
Just an idea.

This would mean many AOL users would not have their populations counted.
Never underestimate the power of AOL to screw things up.

The United Nations has 30,627 member nations and 2,177 Regional Delegates.
Thanks, wasn't sure where to find that. So the game has at least 30,000 individual players.

When I last checked (in January 03), about 75% of nations were controlled by a different person. Not sure if that number has changed since then, though.
If it still holds, it means we currently have about 72,000 active players.

I seem to remember [violet] commenting that it was more of an advisory maximum than a limit, though, of course, with no moderators back then, I suppose they were mainly the same thing

More than 10 ridiculous? Some people have over 50! (I now have 7. The most I ever had was 13).

I recal a confusion on this one, but as I recal there has not been such a rule, or a request. I could be wrong, but think it's always ben okay to have as many puppets as you want.

well what would happen is each nation that is eligible would send their daily population to a counter in the server and that would be posted everyday, i just think it would be really cool
