Thank You Sal
The new ignore feature will solve many problems, for many people.
In case you haven't heard the news SalusaSecondus has added a feature to the telegrams that allows you to ignore senders. Some great work there.

I'll say it on every thread I see on this.
Thanks Sal. :D
and also ask on every thread: "would it be posible to add a feture to block one nation for all nations created on that IP? (henceforth preventing Joser and Cosmo Kramerica from spamming {well not tecnically, ut I consider it such} my puppets with recruitment messages) :hopeful:

Hey, thanks a lot Sal! I probably won't have a use for it, as no one ever sends me telegrams.
But I'm sure this will solve a lot of spam issues.

You know, I'm really not sure what to say, but Thank you.
Personally, I wasn't going to claim credit for this change ([violet] did all the hard work, I did the fun), but I guess that I don't have a choice due to the news page.
Thanks to all of you guys who help out in tech. Thanks to everyone who has helped me out in anyway, and has kept me informed of what you guys want or need so that I can help bring it about.

Obviously, Sal, you do deserve the credit though. Otherwise would she have written it like that on the news page? :D
And sitting around making suggestions is easy. Bringing them about takes great skill and fortitude. This is why we love you, Sal! :) 8)
MOD/ALERT
In the true spirit of a NationStates player, I do have a further suggestion.
Could you possibly place a similar (ignore) type link in the regional control area that would effect the message boards? That way only the founder or delegate, if enabled, would be able to block unwanted messages.
As always, can't just be happy with what we have. :D

Never happy.
Yeah, this could be done, but I would not agree with it as it would result in invisible censorship in regions (yes, this does happen in real life). Now, if you get [violet] to say that this is a good idea, I'll see about working on it.

I'm happy!!
And I don't like this idea much either, I mean if the delegate/founder doesn't like someone posting on their HQ, they can just eject them, right?

SalusaSecondus,
There is something I don't know (surprizing as that may be).
Is there a means to contact [violet] that is considered proper?
That is one person I, definately, don't wish to offend in any way.

I don't think it's a good idea for Delegates or Founders to be able to gag people, no. This was discussed a while ago; it has a lot of implications when used in conjunction with invasions.
You can boot 'em... do that. ;)
Fair enough, thanks for the consideration.
