NS Guilds

I would like to see, as an addendum to NS, nation guilds where we commune, debate, and compete with other guilds. These Guilds would be of limited number, and would of course be specific to politics.
More Ideas as events warrent.

At present, the only way to accomplish this is through the forums and/or regions.
NationStates will not have any major editions to it. If you think it should go into NationStates' sequel, NationStates 2, then you should suggest this there, or better yet, read the sticky in the NS2 board on regions and alliances.
What you suggest sounds very much like regions, where you have the civil HQ to talk and debate, and of course you can invade other regions (although it may not be the type of competition you are looking for).
They also aren't limited in number...
