A Question regarding the passage of time

02-12-2003, 17:11
What is the generally accepted speed of the passage of time during a war?
I ask this as i am currently in the middle of a war, which started with a 48 hour surrender demand (this was taken as a real time 48 hours), but later on, a "NationStates" month was mentioned, and someone said "We've been rping this for 2 real life days, i assumed that would be enough to get my troops there."

So if anyone can give me information or link me to a thread regarding game time, or "A NationStates Month", I would be very greatful.

I don't know what the "official" stance is, but in my region, 1 Real Life day = 1 NationStates Year, in general. When we're involved in an RP, we play a little closer to "real time", and/or just kind of wing it. For example, in our current RP, we've been working on the same 2 or 3 hour time period for about a week now.

There is no set idea for how long is "how long". It usually changes for convenience's sake during the RP. If you wish it to be regular though, I suggest posting the time span at the beginning of the thread.
