Depends on where you want to go up.

When you make decisions based on issues, what you pick affects your ranking. Also, if you do good things, like submit lots of good issues and proposals, you have a better chance of having a high UN daily ranking.

The second sentence here is complete nonsense. What you do regarding submissions of issues and proposals has nothing to do with the UN rankings.

Unless we're not being told things, eh, mods?

I wasn't aware that proposals and issues had any effect on your nation's stats. Could you give a link to where you heard that?

Basically, you need to be either *very* big, have a massive economy or be at some extreme. Notice the 7 million nations just on the top page of political freedom. If you're a centrist nation you'll always be near the centre of the list.

The only one IMs has got near the top on was stupidest people. Twas the proudest day of my life.

Choose something (or a couple of things. If you choose a lot, it's hard to get amazing at any): economy, ecology, a certain industry, education, police numbers, whatever. Whenever the issues come around that support that one thing ALWAYS vote for it. That's how you go up (or down, for example if the ranking is stupidity and you support every education choice) in that area's ranking.
