The IMDB(Internet Movie Database) submission system for movie comments tells you something like "Thank you for submitting this comment. We will review it and if it is acceptable, it will be added shortly. To give you an idea of when we may do this, we are currently reviewing comments from 21st November 2003." after you submit a comment. Doing this for the issues would do a lot to curb questions like "When is my issue going to be accepted or rejected?" and not to mention, reducing the stress on us issue-writers when we want to know if a certain issue we submitted on a certain date has been rejected or accepted. :wink:

good idea, it drives you crazy wondering whether it will ever be looked at but nothing you can do about it...sadly...

Yet another great idea which will sadly likely be ignored due to the length of [violet]'s to do list.

What is probably more likely would be something along the lines of:

"Thank you for your submission. There are approx. 4,572 submissions ahead of yours. Should your submition, blah blah blah"

Since they're only processed when certain Mods are on, estimating time would be pretty much impossible.

"We value your call. You have been placed in a queue. Please hold the line until a moderator is available to read your submission."

I wouldn't know how to do this. I think that processing issues have been bumped to the side for several of us due to insanity in RL (I know it has for me) delaying new ones for a bit. Hopefully I'll start editting again in a week or so.
