Can someone help?/kudos/and one suggestion

Hi. I just found this game and joined 2 days ago. I love it! Here is my problem. I applied to the UN, I was accepted. I followed the link (I did this all after a long day of work) then I saw a button that said "Resign"...my braindead overworked mind read the word as "Re-Sign" and I thought: Re-sign? Sign in again?" and I clicked it...now of course I am out of the UN LOL...I reapplied though, will that get me back in?

Also, I read in the rules that you cannot have more than one nation in the UN. The thing is, my fianacee and I share the same computer, he signed up after me using his hotmail account and when I signed up I used our regular account. The thing is, the IP addresses will be the same because we use the same computer. Is this ok? If its not, can you please give us a chance so that one of us can resign and the other stay in? We both want to be in the UN but if it means we cant play then one of us will get out of it.

Also, I had a suggestion for the site. When I was creating my nation, The Federation of Danish Dolphinists, it had an option for national animal. Again, I had been at work all day and when I read that I read it as "National Anthem" (which is why my National Animal shows as "The Flipper Strikith Thee" ) Maybe it would be nice to have the option to include a national anthem?

Anyways, its perfect the way it is I think. Thanks for making this site.

Reapplying will get yu back in, but I suggest that you resign from the UN at the first opportunity to prevent both your nations being ejected.

National anthems etc will probably be included in NationStates 2.

Some people on shared computers alternate UN membership every month

Two UN nations connected from the same computer will be interpreted by the system as possibly cheating. Since there's no way to verify who is sitting behind the computer at what time, and some individuals without respect for others would use any possibility to gain an unfair advantage over others, there's really no alternative to being strict about this. The consequence is that people using the same computer will have to make some arrangement amongst eachother. Some will share a UN nation, others will switch UN membership periodically.

Your nation is not in the UN until you've activated the URL you receive in the email. If because of the situation explained above you choose to not be a member of the UN, you can simply delete the email you get and not use the URL provided in it.

Regarding the animal/anthem comment:

Adding a National Anthem will probably be something for NationStates II.

Please do realize that you can alter your nation's National Animal! Click on 'Settings' at the top left of your screen, where you'll be able to modify some items in your nation (like motto, animal, currency) as well as some account information.

Good luck. IF you hqave further questions, feel free to read through the FAQ, stickies, and the forum threads if you have time. Aside from that, let us know if you have any further questions, and again good luck with the game.
