Hello, my nation is The Resplendent Dawn.
Now, in order to test some things about nation creation I made 4 nations that I never intended to use: The Resplendent Dawn A, The Resplendent Dawn B, The Resplendent Dawn C, and The Resplendent Dawn D. I wanted to delete those nations, so they aren't taking up space aimlessly, but I read in the FAQ that users cannot delete their nations. However, I have heard a rumor that sometimes nice moderators are willing to do it. Is that true, and if so, any takers? Thank you in advance for your responses.

That rumor is false. Just let them idle out.

Let me just elaborate on this: Both rumors are false.

Deleted nations are still stored on the NationStates server in case the mods decide to resurrect them. Nations deleted for inactivity can be resurrected upon request.

Moderators only delete nations for rule violations. Nations are not deleted on request.
