I've been asking for a few weeks now for a purge....I wish they would do one.
Well, if we could archive the poetry threads, I'm all for it. There is actually some quality material in there. I would not be a bit upset to see the other forums purged as well.

No, don't get rid of general! It's the best forum in here. Anyway, II and NS should defintely be purged, especially of the older stuff.

One thing that I noticed when I was last looking through old threads was a MASSIVE list of Moved: threads. They really should be gotten rid of in every forum.

Those are just shadows, as I understand it. Marker to the actual topics. They don't take up much database space, if I understand the system correctly.

allow a couple of weeks for archive
and for god sake! stop archiveing every thread by the mods!

Please no. There are a lot of old threads in Tech, Mod, and NS which are not worth sarchiving but great reads (for those of us who have twisted senses of humor that is).

"short" is all a matter of perspective. It was not until after the purge that I became good friends with Sirocco, got involved in Nuts & Bolts, and began making large numbers of puppets. It seems like eons ago when I had 900 + posts and NEE only had 700 +. Most of my NS life was after the purge.
