Possible Changes?

18-11-2003, 13:00
I was wondering if we could make the regional happenings list thingy longer. I like knowing what was done, and since I'm off to surgery soon, I'd like to know what's going on in my region.

Also, bigger regions get so full, what with people comming and going. This could help out the UN delegates know who is new and who left, especially if there are thousands of people in a region.

Just a thought ...

Why don't you do as we in the Middle East (and numerous other regions) have done: set up a regional forum on another web site?

I have one. www.avidgamers.com/danyaslair But it doesn't show regional happenings.

ok. I suggest you ask people to use the forum more. Or you can mess about with the XML feed to constantly update the forum with message board posts, but you need to be quite good at HTML and XML if your on avid gamers. And activate the guest access on your site.

Well, I want to know who's leaving he region, who's comming back, and when the changes were made. Not only does my web site have its own RP boards and boards for other regions, and a whole lot of fun stuff.

I've messed with the options and made it so only members of my region and mods/admin can get into our region board.

The XML feed doesn't contain posts in the regional message board. Parsing the HTML is the only way I can think to grab the data without DB access
