Game Improvements - My Opinion

Ok I've come under a lot of criticism for my “anti-improvement” posts. Let me clarify while I freely acknowledge that this forum is the place to suggest game improvements, and yes the game has been improved more than once since its creation and many cool new features have been introduced, you guys have to understand that a paper dog has more chance of successfully chasing an asbestos cat through hell than you do of changing the game by saying “It would be cool if…”.
Now I’m not a mod so it’s not my place to slap you and call you a n00b. But consider how much programming it would take to implement your changes, how much web space it would take up, who would do the programming, who would actually benefit from the proposal etc. Max doesn’t have a magic wand to magically upgrade the game at no cost or effort. Now I’m all for game improvement and if, by some kind of a miracle, any of the upgrades I’ve ‘dissed’ is implemented I will be very happy but lets face it the chances are it won’t be. Bring up the issue; suggest the improvement show some research as to how it would be done and how much work it will take; don’t get your hopes up.

While I’m on my high horse read the FAQ & site terms and conditions, also read the news and stickies. Do us all a favour and don’t post about issues that have already been addressed and think before suggesting improvements.

Nag Ehgoeg has a good point. We're more than willing to listen to improvement ideas, however, please look back through the forum's history (yes, I know it can be a pain) and see if it has already been recommended. Also, if our response is simply, "It's been recommended before, and it's (probably) not going to happen." Don't expect further debate, in fact, we may just lock it.

The biggest thing though is to consider the cost/benefit analysis. How difficult is it to implement vs. how much will it improve the game.

So yeah, suggest, but don't get your hopes up.

but if you dont suggest changes because they would take an immense amount of coding to make them work, then the site will stagnate and die life is ever changing and so should the simulated life of NS, admitadly it wont change as much or as quickly but still without imput from the players change will slow even further.
