Suggestion re: Delegate Votes page in UN

The suggestion is that the 'delegate votes' page on the UN be sorted (or sortable) according to the size of the vote. Reading through the hundreds of delegates with 2 or 3 endorsements with barely marginal impact to find the ones that are substantial in importance is too time consuming in the current system.

Huh? Is this for resolutions or preposals? Or are you talking about the delegate lists?

I'm fond of doing this:
This is like many other of the simple changes that have been proposed- national anthem, national leader, portrait of the leader. If admin concedes to this, then why not to the other suggestions? Each one increases the server load, requires new coding, and detracts from the features of NS2- which is where you are likely to see features like this.

But yea your right it would be useful

What's messed up is that when a delegate changes in a region and the new delegate votes, he/she once again gets the power of the entire region in that vote.

So if in one resolution's voting period, the delegate for a region with 100 UN members changes twice and each delegate votes the same way, the game counts it as 300 votes for/against the resolution instead of 100.

It does?? That needs changing because at one point we could of had a different Delegate every day for about a week and that would of given us about 600/700 votes for (at the time) the regions size being about 100!!

Yes, I've seen it happen with my region's delegate(s), as the position's been going to someone new almost daily.

I am quite sure that this is not the case with the final, official tally.

One think that I'd like too see if possible is to split it into FOR and AGAINST pages.

I use a wireless cable connection (so I'm much faster than 56 k even with the wireless LAN) and yet my attempts to view delegate votes crashed my comp twice this afternoon.

I'm not so sure... and since the final tally includes not only delegates, but also member states (whose votes are not listed anywhere I can see), I have no way of finding out. But I do know that if the delegates vote page is accurate, then yet another problem is that I see some of the same delegates' votes listed two or three times. Sometimes I see them listed multiple times for, sometimes multiple times against, and sometimes multiple times in each.

If the tally is accurate, while the page is not, then the page should be fixed. It really isn't difficult to do a database call at regular intervals in the day and produce an accurate list...
