Telegram Answer Machine?
Can we have like a Telegram Message Machine. If your nation isnt logged on, and someone TGs you, a message machine will telegram them back letting them know we're not here.
And the answer machine would be our own words.
I don't think very many people expect imediate responses to telegrams. Plus there is the "Most Recent Gov't Activity" .. if that's over an hour they are probably gone, and no one can expect a prompt response.
You could write a script, I suppose, though you'd want to check and make sure it's not spam, first.

I don't think is too reasonable, but what would be is a responce during vacation mode.

I dont think there is a need for it besides you can tell when a person hasnt been online for a while by looking at the countries page under Most Recent Government Activity. :)
Worse thing about this, as much as I like the idea of the idea, is that you a person could have their TM box fileld with these "answering machine" messages, if they are attempting to communicate with a variety of people at one sitting.
