Need to ask for my own deletion, plz.

Now, I created this nation here as a puppet/clone whatever you wanna call it, just to have fun and do some psychotic evil stuff. :P
My main nation is doing nicely but I just wanted to go crazy for a change.

But unfortuanately, on creation, I accidentally put in the wrong answer to the prisoner rehabilitation question. I got the strongly agree/disagree messed up!

Now I'm trying to raise a evil psycho who believes in rehab for criminals when I plan on shooting people on sight instead.

I know you can't delete your own nation, only if you don't log in for 28 days. But then I would rather ask for a deletion nicely if possible rather than going on a spamming spree, since I do want to play a nation keeping this name.

so plzzzz? :( :( :(

if you are deleted, you still can't recreate with the same name. So inactuvity does just the same, only takes longer.

As Famicon says, you can never create a nation with the same name as an old one, whether the nation is deleted by the mods or due to inactivity.

Secondly, the mods do not do 'deletion on request'. If you really want to kill your nation, the advised strategy is to type a random string into the password, copy it to the 'repeat password', remove the email and turn off autologin.

Finally, this is all unnecessary. The initial options do not set the status of your nation in stone. With correct handling of issues (put them up to 2/day) you can completely change your nation type, and turn your existing nation into the one you want

Ahh, I was afraid to hear that, but I suppose I knew it all along. :(
*sigh*
guess it's just lots of hard work ahead then. :?

But that brings up an interesting point, surely some of the ex-nation names would have been there for over 6 month or something at least, shouldn't there be at least a timer that clears older former nation names to be used by people?

Remember Nanakaland is back, and What if Darksye, who has been gone for half a year wishes to return?

not to mention my very first nation, which has died again approximately two days ago, which I will have revived just in time to celebrate its birthday in april

You should send the request early then, as it takes months to get nations revived.

when I had it revived earlier, it took only like a week, but yes I will check up on it in like february and keep it alive if it gets revived soon.

Well, this arrangement might sound fine now, but if NS is to continue yrs down the road into the future, this could become a potential problem.

Given NS just turned 1, so even the older former nations might come back, but given time and the rate of growth for NS, I should think this could become a potential issue sometime down the road.

Especially if NS is to continue growing and expanding years into the future, imagine the frustration of new players signing up 5 yrs from now.
A little foresight never hurts.

oh, and btw, Gogo was mine. 8)

Okay, I've never understood why people say this.

Why don't you just refrain from logging in? All this does is make sure that you're screwed if you ever change you mind and want the nation back.

A fair point. Personally, I would do as you say. However, I think it's to prevent against that very 'last minute crisis of faith' that people do this. It's a bit like attitudes towards suicide... they worry they might lose their resolve, and thus want to be certain of it ending.

Whenever I have second thoights about letting a puppet die it is always too late. I do have some die unintentionally though, but I've only had three die so far that I minded dead out of the 2 dozen + that I've had die, and I have two of them back already thanks to Hack.

Actually, now that I think about it, I think I'll bring em back.
