Nation Issues -
How does this work?
I have a World Benchmark in civil rights.
How can I then get an issue dealing with Social Inequalities?
The name of the Issue is -
Social Inequality Reaching Embarrassing Levels
Having read the discription I notice that I am about to become a world pariah...even though I have a brilliant civil rights record....
It does not make sense to me...
Civil rights and social equality are in no way one and the same thing. An anarchic nation may have exemplary civil rights, in that everyone can do whatever they want, but some people will naturally profit from this more than others. The very fact that people can do what they like is likely to cause social inequality rather than reduce it, which would require government intervention (or widespread altruism)

Makes sense in regards to this game...
I can live with that. Is your definition related to this game...as in the reasoning?
No, my reasoning is related to real life. The strict answer in game is that the social inequality issue does not have a qualifier saying 'only give to low civil rights nations'. However, this is most likely derived from the same kind of reasoning that I applied in my last post.
If you want to debate this reasoning, I'd be quite happy to, but in general rather than tech, which is for technical discussion.
Also, this thread in general may be better suited to the 'Got Issues?' forum, as it's an issue-mechanics topic

Ok...
I was looking for an 'official' explanation...and although I understand your reasoning and I do agree with you to some extent I was/am not sure how these issues actually get processed for want of a better expression..
As for not going to the Issues forum...well acording to the sticky for this foum it says that Tech is for questions about how things work...
I rarely venture outside of General so all this is new to me LOL
(although I play my country I don't role play or anything like that...well not yet LOL)
