Only getting one issue

15-11-2003, 01:15
I wasn't sure whether to put this here or in technical but eh.

So I haven't been a member for very long, but the first couple of days after I signed up I was getting two issues per day as I'd requested. Then a couple days ago I noticed I was only getting one issue a day. I checked to make sure and the two issues per day thing was still marked as that. What's up?

It is. What's more, nobody was injured this time round. Last time it hit something on the tracks and derailed. Blood everywhere. Very nasty look. Made a great news story.

See, now I almost posted it in this forum. But then I read the sticky and it said if your question/post had anything to do with issues, it had to go in the Got Issues forum.

Gah!

I'm having the same problem..... Ditto, in not one but TWO of my puppets. I noticed it yesterday and it has persisted today.

It's probably worded wrong, or else you misinterpreted. The Got Issues forum is for discussing issues and pointing out typos or ideas in/for the new ones, etc. This belongs here because it deals with a potential problem with the issues.

Did that make sense? :?

When the Got Issues forum was created, it was supposed to be about the actual mechanics of the issues themselves. "Can we have an issue which [does this]?", "How does this look to you as an issue?" and so on. "I'm not getting the right number of issues" is a Tech thing.

The same thing has happened to (some of) my puppets.

What seems to have happened (from my perspective as just a player) is that the system crashed during the last two 'nightly' updates (night for me in Europe), causing the update to not run until completion. I can see the puppets I have that normally are 'early' in the update all received their issues, but the later ones did not. Last night the update seems to have run further than the one before that.

This means that some nations on Two Issues Per Day only received one. Let's hope the system will get through the next 'nightly' update without problems, which will start in ( *looks at watch* ) about 13+ hours from now.

I'd thought it might have had something to do with all the nations compulsorily getting the Birthday Issue, but Ballotonia's suggestion makes much more sense.

I think that two of my nations have this problem (and they are indeed later in the update, I noticed that during the birthday when one of my ntions had it and the other two didn't). Is the update done in alphabetical order, by the way? Because my 'A' nation is still getting to, but 'N' and 'M' get only one.

[violet] says that there were server failure around the second update for the past couple of days, but that it is now fixed.

Thanks.
I did wonder why I only had 1 for a couple of days.
