Yeah yeah, I know it's ironic (or not ironic) that the glitch I'm reporting has to do with the ejection feature but...

In my regular purges of Crazy girl's puppets from the region, a strange thing happened. After booting about two or three of her other puppets (who all moved into the region to spam the Civil HQ one after the other after they were booted, but I'm not here to complain about that...) The nation of Crazy dog moved to the region, made a stupid post on our message board, was booted, and went to the RR. Seemed normal enough, but then I noticed Crazy dog made a new post on the Pacific's Civil HQ.

Seconds ago: The Democratically-Elected State of Francos Spain ejected The Republic of Crazy dog from the region.
8 minutes ago: The Republic of Crazy dog departed this region for The Rejected Realms
8 minutes ago: The Democratically-Elected State of Francos Spain ejected The Republic of Crazy dog from the region.
9 minutes ago: The Republic of Crazy dog arrived from Animal Planet.

Seconds ago The Republic of Crazy dog kicked out again?


1 minute ago: The Republic of Crazy dog arrived from The Pacific.
6 minutes ago: The Merciless Imperial Armies of Natetor the Destructor departed this region for Valhalla
10 minutes ago: The Republic of Crazy dog arrived from The Pacific.

As you can see, the nation was removed from the region initially, and managed to come back to the Pacific (or it never left) and repost on our board. It was ejected a second time, with no documentation of its rearrival in the Pacific in the first place (which it shouldn't have been able to do anyway as it was on the banned list.) The strangest part is how the Rejected Realms' regional happenings record it as arriving twice, meaning that it would indeed have had to have left the Pacific the first time.

i saw my nation getting kicked out, but when i refreshed the page, i was still in the pacific, i tried posting in the pacific, and i could..
really weird, but it was fun ;)

Hmm, I've encountered this before, but do not yet know why. Sorry. If it happens again, please let me know.

most likely a glitch of your having booted several at once, causing a delay or lag in the server, that is my guess, you might have to wait a while between the bannings,

This has happened before recently. See: Booting Error? (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=88545)

For a large region it's not much of a problem as the 'offending' nation can simply be booted again, but for regions below 100 nations it is more of an issue. The interface (drop-down list) at that point doesn't allow a 'second' banning as the name isn't in the list of nations residing within the region.

Expect more of such things to happen when the hollidays come, and the server slows down like last Christmas :twisted:
