Vacation mode and being Delegate

I just heard something rather odd, if I put my nation on vacation mode I would lose my position as Delegate, is this true?

Not to my knowledge. I was on vacation mode for about three weeks in June and kept my delegate status.
Not unless somebody gets more endorsements than you whilst you're gone

The only way that would happen is just liek phoebe said, if someone gets more endorsements than you...then you will lose your position. But say you are founder then you have no worries because you can still access regional controls.

Perhaps it was just a coincedence and they just lost the delegacy in the bug?

It was coincidence. Jako happened to go on vacation right when the bug hit.
