Banlist limitation?

I'm getting the impression a banlist limitation was put into place: LILO, 200 entries max. Is this correct? (if so, good job!)

I think that the Pacific has waaay over 200 entries from when I looked at it.

'LILO'?
*grins*
The Pacifics ban list reset to about 200 after an invasion attempt so I guess there is,maybe there always was but no one had ever reached it before

I can't see the reason for a banlist limit. Seems if this were in place, it would easily be abused. All those against someone such as FS would have to do is create, as a group, 200 nations to get the list filled, then run for the border. Seems like this sort of limitation would be a bit biased.
Just my $.02, am relatively sure no one will agree with me on that...

I don't know Maybe the Pacifics have an unlimited ban list considering they are special regions.

I'm not saying that one would be blocked from ejecting/banning more, it's just that only the last 200 will remain banned. Right now that limit will only affect The Pacific, and not even in a really meaningful way. Anyone using puppets just to harrass Francos deserves to get them nuked, not just banned.
The biggest reason I'm happy about this (if I'm correct about it, awaiting confirmation), is that it's a necessary precaution to something else: allowing banning of nations not residing in ones own region. This has been discussed before as a means of combatting those who harrass by jumping in/out of regions and leaving unwanted messages. With this limitation in place, people won't be able to simply dump 70,000 nations in their banlist and possibly hose the server.

I'll have to think about this. At face value, I like it and think it sounds like a good idea.

See, the Pacifics are a special case. Why don't the mods consider of taking away the "ejection-funstion" from these feeder regions. Just like in the Rejected Realms, it sounds a very good option to me. But I think its mostly the ego of the Mods who prevents this, they don't want to come back upon their descision.

We will not debate this here.

My question has been answered. Thank you. Please lock the thread to avoid discussion of The Pacific, if needed.
