I Can't Join the UN?

25-10-2003, 02:07
Hey, I have a question for ya'll. I tried to join the UN, and they accepted me...but I never did receive an e-mail like they said? I even tried 2 different e-mails under my settings... What should I do?
I use AOL (though 1 e-mail wasn't on here), and my OP is have Windows XP.

try a webbased email address. sometimes (well, all the time) AOL blocks important e-mails and the spam slips through the cracks. AOL, rotten b*stards

I have a friend with AOL.

As soon as he applied with a free web-based e-mail address it worked.

Yahoo mail works fine, and it's free.

I tried to, I used a non-AOL based e-mail and it still didn't work? Maybe they just don't like us?

I didn't receive my UN e-mail from NationStates!
First, check your nation settings and make sure that you have entered an e-mail address, and that the address is correct. If it is, your e-mail is probably being blocked by an anti-spam filter. This might be something in your e-mail client, but more likely is a program running on your ISP's server. Anti-spam filters aren't perfect, and so sometimes block e-mail from NationStates. Unfortunately there's not much you or I can do about this.
