Logging in causeing crash of Firebird

Not sure if it's you or the browser, but every now and then when I'm loggin into DNS of one of my puppets it crashes Mozilla Firebird. No warnings, just a nice, simple, 'Unknown error has caused Mozilla Firbird to unexpectedly quit' or something to that effect.

I'm pretty sure i'm running with the latest milestone, and it mostly happens when I'm logging into my puppet Covert Activities. Maybe something about the whitespace in between the words?

Ah, thanks for reminding me of this. I need to check this out.

What OS are you using?

That happens to me too. It seems to be as of the new 0.7 release.

Here's my Firebird version:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.6a) Gecko/20031021 Firebird/0.7+

Weird. 0.6.1 doesn't cause any probs...

I know that I'm running the nightly build as of 30 minutes ago, so it's the bleeding edge version.

I'm not having any problems, and I'm running the latest Stable Build of 0.7x

As to the Nightly Builds....that might be part of the problem. Perhaps try filing a bug report with Mozilla.

Actually, I dl'ed the nightly build after I found 0.7 having problems, hoping that it would fix the crashing error.

I just downloaded the newest for WinXP and it works fine (I'll report on the linux as soon as it's compiled).

Thanks for the info, Salusa. I'll try the nightly later today. The 22nd October nightly didn't work, though.

Oh, you're using password manager, I didn't try that.

I'm running Firebird 7.1 and Linux Debain.

It crashes for me only at this site.

This is getting rediculous, it took me 5~ minutes to log in.

Otherwise I tested the login bug at my school(where i have 0.6.1 on my user account) and it worked fine.

Here's a workaround:

Right click the top frame, go to This Frame, and click on Reload frame. Then you can enter your login safely.

There's a Firebird 7.1? Why hasn't anyone told me? :( I'm 6.4 versions behind!

It could be something to do with either the cookie system used by the NS site, or Perl itself doing strange things...

Either way, might I suggest you get a real (http://www.netscape.com) browser... :P

Peng-pau, head to wall, repeat.

Mozilla is the open-source version of netscape, and firebird a version of mozila.

I know, but Netscape works properly, whereas Mozilla doesn't. :P

While I support the OpenSource community in most cases, this is not one of them...

Edit: Er... Don't click that link... I typoed it, it points to a porn site... O.o

Edit 2: Fixed it...

It's Mozilla Firebird that's having the problems. Which is to be expected because it's only at v. 0.7

I know, just clarifying for other people.

That's why it's called "bleeding edge".
