i'm new here so if its already been posted dont bite my head off:
i was thinking it would be cool if there was a way to make up a "history" of your nation... like if you had a paragraph to write whatever about your country

There is...it's called the Forums.
Just post it in the NationStates forum.
As for putting it in the "Spotlight" page, that won't happen until NationStates 2.
Yer, in the forums you can post nearly anything ya want, you can post a history, make a fact book (a nation called 'New Genoa' has a main factbook index if ya want to check it out) or just RP (roleplay) a new history for your nation.
It really up to you.
