World leader
It would be great if someone could elect a world leader in the form of endorsements. His purpose would be purely representative, with no potential power. I don't think this would be a lot of encoding. Just one click next to "Add endorsement". It would be "Add endorsement for World representant".
Sure, you could add some additional features to all this. But the whole idea is: we need a certain World Order.
Who would we be representing the world to?

Yeah, it would be crazy, and would keep life in here. Imagine if you would get a nazi as world leader. Everybody would rush and give endorsements to others. It would really put some action in the world. Inter-regional alliances in order to overthrow the world leader. 8)

If we don't lobby the idea, it will never happen. And it's so simple... :o No attributed powers, or whatsoever. Just the head of the UN.

if it is purely honorary, then it has no point, all it is is a big popularity contest, so therefore pointless, besides just like the world UN rankings the same few people would control it all the time,

How about if only regional delegates were in the running? They elect from among themselves a Secretary General, and then give him the power to toss out resolutions he dosn't like. Not much power, but a little to make it worth while.

Good idea with the delegate's endorsing others. However the tossing-out resolution thing... I'm worried what would happen if a noob would toss them all out. It would be better if he would be allowed, since he is elected by delegates, to make a vote where his number of votes would be equal to all the delegates endosing him multiplied by ten.

Good point. Esp since as Loop has said, a lot of the responsibility would be cerimounous. The real key would be as Eno does, so why have another head?
