Population dwindling

Is it possible to submit an issue where the population is decreasing a bit, not constantly but just ones? I though about an "Earthquake" issue: when someone would decide not to do anything about it and leave their poor people living in a dangerzone the population would shrink a little because of the recent earthquake... Is that possible? Or does the issue sounds like one of the worst in issue submitting history?

Greetings Daniel, President of Sozy.

Nah. The issues aren't linked to the populaiton. It is just natural to go up 5-7mill a day.

I'm afraid that no issue like that will ever achieve their goal. It would have to be changed directly by the admin and so it shall not be.

I was expecting that :(

I think its a really good idea tho! :D

It would open up a whole range of new-possible issues! Pity.

And it would shrink psycotic dictatorships and far-right nations, who never bother with their people. They would not like it methinks.

Te he he.

Yeah, too bad

A better idea would be something like in China, every family has one baby, more baby's would be killed, it would lower the population and the civil rights, in a issue there can also be, a general that wants to conquer more land (more military.) You can also do something with legalising abortion, and as you said big disasters. There are a lot of options.

Nope. Your population will still rocket upwards. My nation groans under the weight of 1.7 billion people :(

I remember that when it started I complained as my pops were above 2 million which I though would be best for my descriptor (Liberal Democratic Socialists)

Good idea. You can attempt to present this idea here (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=82537) which I like, as well as submitting it in the proper channels—I am not sure the link to suggest Issue Ideas, someone else should be able to add that link for you….. hopefully they will see my bat call and post the link to submit issues.

Anyway, I like this a lot. Though I think this idea may be tweaking in order to alter code rather then create the need to complete change the game. It is possible issues have an effect on pop, though if they do it would likely be a tiny effect. So, instead of this simply being an idea for NationStates 2, this could be a good branch for the treeing idea (as linked here (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=82537) ).

This would be a good branch for issues. For example, perhaps you the choices are A) Give to Corporations damaged and Charity, B) Give only to private and public charities, or C) Buy Trampolines for the Presidential Palace. If you choose to provide corporate welfare to corporations damaged (such as insurance, banking, oil, whatever) as well as private charity in conjunction perhaps this helps the private sector while creating more need in the public sector to come in the form of issues later on. If you give just to public sector you could have issues later on about helping to rebuild the private sector. If you choose to purchase trampolines, you could simply try to figure out what tune it was Nero was playing all those many years ago.

This is a joking response, in a way, to show where I feel there is some benefit to this suggestion.

Treeing issues will IMO also require code tweaking, possibly even more than pop changing issues would.

Economy, education, rights ...

Plus your population could boom when you accept more immigrants...

Issues could affect population, but I kinda like it that nations grow no matter what. :)

Yeah, one is sort of free to mess it all up and can recover anytime. Not too realistic, but neat indeed. And where would be the fun if it was absolutely realistic, with all the tediousness of real life? If it were, one could as well get into real politics...

Yeah, but with my groteh "no matter" what, it is just complicating my whole "Imploded Economy" thing. Maybe if it would chill just for a week, I could catch up.
